In its constant effort towards innovation, Barilla has developed a prediction tool based on publicly climatic data for microbial pathogen spread matching ZELDA’s effort in developing AI-based solutions for product delivery on field. Moteover Barilla has strong experience in wheat supply chain worldwide and a large network of suppliers (farmers and storage facilities) to collect reliable information on cereal crops.
Barilla is represented within ZELDA’s AB by Marco Silvestri, in quality of Durum Wheat Senior Fellow. He coordinate the Barilla Durum Wheat, Tomato and Legumes Agronomy Research Team. He is active on plant breeding, precision agriculture, crop agronomic management, regenerative agriculture coordinating several internal projects in collaboration with Universities, National and International Research Centers and private research companies.

Located in Norway, Borregaard operates one of the world's most advanced biorefineries to produce biochemicals by using natural and renewable materials obtained from forest-based feedstock. Located in Estonia, Fibenol operates a first-of-its-kind pilot biorefinery that uses the novel Sunburst™ pre-treatment technology to convert over 90% of lower-quality birchwood into high-value biomaterials such as lignin and wood sugars. Cooperativas Agroalimentarias Extremadura represents the interests of 182 agri-food cooperatives, within the Extremadura region in Spain, covering around 37,000 farmers and livestock breeders. Its objective is to promote a professionalized and competitive cooperative business model to generate value that contributes to improving the profitability of its member farmers and livestock breeders and to the sustainable development of the agri-food sector and rural areas.
